It’s incredible to think that at 19, Miranda Lambert made her television debut as a country music performer on a little-known program called Nashville Star. The adolescent said, in a promotional video for the program at the time, “People sometimes don’t take me seriously, I haven’t been through a lot of tough times in my life.” How times have certainly changed?
Lambert was able to incorporate other people’s suffering in her songwriting even before she finished third on Nashville Star, landed a record deal, and catapulted to popularity on her own. As one of the most well-known country music performers right now, she has had plenty of opportunities to weave her own pain into her music thanks to her life in the spotlight.
