At twelve o’clock in the morning, Jerry, a small boy of only five years old, dials 911 to report a crime in progress. He requests the officer’s assistance in locating his mother.
When the cops ask where she is, the small kid responds, “Heaven, but that’s what my father told me.” As the conversation progresses, we learn that the young boy’s mother died not long ago after a brave battle with cancer.
The officer continues to pay attention to little Jerry and then gives him some instructions. He tells the youngster to get a red balloon, write down what he wants to tell his mother, and then release the balloon into the air. Jerry’s mother will be able to read what was written on the balloon when it arrives in Heaven.
