The Ukrainian couple Oksana and Sergey already had a daughter but wanted to start a family again. They thought that by having two kids, their family would be complete.
When Oksana discovered she was pregnant, she immediately noticed a difference from her last pregnancy. She considered having twins but persuaded herself that this couldn’t be the case because no one in the family had ever had twins.
“No one in our family has ever had a twin pregnancy. I was certain I would never go through anything like this, Oksana told the German news organization Heftig.
