“And his health care or anyone who comes in to visit him, they’ll say, ‘Well, we’d like a list of his meds.’ I’ll say, you know, let me just show you the bottle.”
As Burnet continues she adds that Barker, although being 99, is “in extremely good health for his age and his humor is still in good shape. He’s had a really lucky life.”
Burnet said she and Barker will have a “very basic and quiet” celebration at their home with cake to commemorate the start of another year around the sun.
