During the flood, Katie Seley, a 32-year-old mother from South Carolina, tragically lost her life. She was visiting relatives with her family when the unexpected torrent of water struck. However, her husband, Jim, their oldest son Jack, 4, and Katie’s mother Dahlia managed to escape the floodwaters unharmed.
